Hashem Taher is an instructor at the United Media Academy (UMA), part of the National Training Academy (NTA), where he shares more than a decade of professional filmmaking and directing experience with the next generation of media creators. Drawing on his work across cinema, commercials, and creative production, he teaches the full craft of visual storytelling — from directing actors and shaping a scene, to camera language, lighting, editing, and the discipline of taking an idea from script to screen.
In the classroom, Hashem blends hands-on, set-style training with real-world industry insight, guiding students through live productions, practical workshops, and one-on-one mentorship. His goal is simple: to turn passionate students into confident, employable professionals who understand both the art and the business of modern media. The gallery below documents his teaching, workshops, student productions, and moments from the academy.
